24 Hours at LivingFit

24 Hours at LivingFit
38 athletes. 578 miles. 24 hours. One community. At LivingFit CrossFit, we believe fitness should prepare you to do hard things — and sometimes, we create opportunities to find out exactly what you're capable of. For 24 straight hours, members of the LivingFit community took on a running challenge around Mercer Slough Nature Park. Athletes ran through the afternoon, into the night, through the early morning hours, and all the way to the final minutes of the event. Together, 38 runners covered 578 miles — more than the distance from Bellevue to the Canadian Rockies — while raising $1,734 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. And there were some incredible individual efforts along the way. Jason Bloomquist led the field with an incredible 91.3 miles, Josh Fletcher covered 58.7 miles, and Ben Gerdes finished with 47.4 miles. Some athletes chased huge mileage. Others came out for a few laps. Some ran fast, some walked, some rested for hours and came back for more. That was the point. At LivingFit, events like this aren't reserved for elite athletes. They're about giving ordinary people an opportunity to attempt something extraordinary alongside a community that wants to see them succeed. More Than a CrossFit Class A normal week at LivingFit is built around getting stronger, fitter, healthier and more capable. But throughout the year, we also create experiences that take that fitness outside the walls of the gym. Long endurance events. Partner challenges. Rucks. Holiday workouts. Competitions. Community fundraisers. And occasionally, something crazy enough to keep us moving for 24 straight hours. These events give our members something to train for, stories to remember, and a chance to discover that they're capable of considerably more than they thought. 24 Hours at LivingFit will be back next year. If you want to be part of the next one, you don't need to show up ready to run 91 miles. You just need to start.
